Life Development Corporation (LDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Timothy Findley Jr. in 2008 and housed in Newburg. LDC’s mission is to facilitate positive change in the Newburg and Metro Louisville community by effectively enhancing the quality of life for all residents through social, economic, and educational initiatives. Some of these initiatives include: the M.O.V.E. & L.O.V.E. Mentorship Academy, Blessings in a Blanket, Gifts of Love, Life Garden, JobNOW, Lifest, Kroger Re-Charge Campaign, Revive Tax-Help, Every Little Bit Helps and the Power of One Partnership.

Blessings in A Blanket
An annual collaboration with Kingdom Fellowship Christian Life Center that provides Thanksgiving Day baskets to families in need in Newburg its’ and surrounding areas. This outreach serves 40+ families each year with the goal being 100 FAMILIES THIS YEAR!.

"BRIDGING THE GAP"
Spirtuality and Mental Health Summit 2014
A summit featuring professionals in the mental health realm. This conference is all about being procative and delving into the differences and similarities between mental health and how it correlates with illnesses we witness within the church and ways to solve the problems that plague many congregation members.
Focal Points: Mental, Spiritual and Intellectual
M.O.V.E. & :L.O.V.E.
Mentorship Academy
A mentorship program for males and females between the ages of 7 -17. Participants are supported through a relationship with an adult mentor. All Mentors are trained in the SPAVA (Society for the Prevention of Aggressiveness and Violence Among Adolescents) Mentors meet with students twice per week in a group setting guiding them through set curriculums which addresses topics such as leadership, family and peer relationships and self-esteem. Participants also take part in off-site field trips and volunteer experiences.

Gifts of Life
Gifts of Life” Toy Drive is an annual event in which LDC partners with Jefferson County Public Schools to assist students and their families during the Christmas holiday.

Life Garden
A community garden being developed in conjunction with Kentucky State University that will be grown right in the Newburg Community! It will assist adults and youth in learning important life lessons, as well as, to provide food for those in need living in the Newburg area.

JobNOW
The JobNow Program is a FREE EVENT that offers an opportunity for those in need of employment to connect with local employers with the goal of being hired on the spot! It also provides opportunities for potential employees to receive training on topics such as resume writing, interview skills and proper work attire. JobNow is currently partnered with 12 Employers in the Greater Louisville area (e.g. UPS, Delta Staffing, NPAS, HomeInstead).

Lifest
LiFest! is an annual community event, which offers food, games, arts/crafts, and various vendors including health screenings, music and live entertainment. It will also serve as a Back-to-School Celebration for those attending JCPS and private school.
