Lucretia's Kitchen

Review Written By: Deborah McDonald

If you are in the mood for some #homemade soul food, you really should try Lucretia’s #Kitchen. It is nestled in the space where Jay’s Restaurant used to be on 1812 W Muhammad Ali Blvd. It is

owned by a beautiful black woman named, you guessed it, #Lucretia. This restaurant has all of your soul food favorites including fried #chicken, green #beans, #mashed potatoes, #potato #salads, #salmon #croquettes, #liver and onions, fried #fish, #sweet potatoes, #fried potatoes, #Barbeque #ribs, and more.

The food is good, and so are the #portions. So, make sure you wear your "all you can eat" pants because you will need them.

And just to be on the safe side, I recommend visiting during the week when the #crowd isn’t as large. I love when my #food is made with love. Although #cooked with love, I noticed that the taste was better on days when it wasn't so busy with a rush of patrons. Other than that, I highly recommend visiting Lucretia's Kitchen.
